CSX GRANTED APPROVED ORGANISATION STATUS BY THE LSE

	The application by the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange ("CSX") to the London Stock Exchange for approved organisation status has been granted. The CSX application demonstrated that its Listing Rules meet all the necessary criteria for inclusion on the London Stock Exchange's list of approved organisations. Accordingly, the CSX has been added to the London Stock Exchange's approved organisation list with effect from Monday 12 July 1999. As a result of the approval being granted, securities listed on the CSX will be regarded as international equity market securities and member firms trading in such securities will be subject to the rules of the London Stock Exchange.
